Ask on DiscordIs it really free?
Yes. Joining the Discord, reading articles and booking mentor sessions are all free. Our mentors volunteer their time because they want to help the next generation of space people.
Do I need a background in engineering?
Not at all. Members range from high school students to working professionals switching careers. Our articles start from the basics, and nobody minds beginner questions. That's how everyone learns.
How do mentor sessions work?
Go to the Mentors page, pick someone whose specialty fits what you want to talk about, and click "Book a meeting". You'll choose a time on their calendar and get a video call link. Come with a few questions: a project you're stuck on, course choices, or how to get an internship.
How do I join the Discord?
Click any "Join our Discord" button on this site. You'll need a free Discord account. Once you're in, introduce yourself and tell us what you're curious about.
Can I write articles or become a mentor?
We'd love that. To mentor, fill in our short mentor application form and we'll be in touch. To write articles, message the team on Discord and tell us what you'd like to share. You don't need to be an expert to write a great beginner guide.
